NGE and Bergerat RENT optimise the operation of their equipment with Hiboo, a first in the world of construction

Bergerat RENT, a specialist in short- and long-term public works equipment hire, and NGE, a French construction group, will be using the technology developed by the start-up Hiboo to improve the operational and technical monitoring of their equipment.

Thanks to the Hiboo solution, Bergerat RENT, subsidiary of Bergerat Monnoyeur, becomes the first rental company to give access to the data of its Rental Equipment. This collaboration means that its customer NGE now has a complete overview of its fleet of owned and rental equipment, while around 20% of its work sites are made up of rental machines.

Enhancing the dialogue between the rental company and the equipment user also aims to optimise the operation of the machines, reduce their fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, and provide better support and advice to site operators in the choice and use of their equipment.

The collaboration between Bergerat RENT, NGE and Hiboo covers more than 500 production machines in France and Europe.

"It is essential for NGE to be able to use the data from all its equipment to improve the monitoring of its fleet on a global scale. Hiboo already enabled us to use the manufacturer data for our own equipment.

This collaboration with Bergerat RENT is very good news and we hope that this trend will develop among other rental companies. This is a necessary and virtuous trend, which is part of the Group’s efforts to reduce our carbon footprint. “

Thierry ROBERT - Materials Director of the NGE Group

"We are proud to be exploring a new dimension in site machinery rental with NGE and Hiboo. At a time when the construction ind ustry is moving towards an  economy  of use, it is important for

Bergerat RENT  to be able to rely on an independent trusted third party  to provide equipment data, provide a global vision of the fleets and plan more quickly on the ground. This first is already attracting a great deal of interest from a number of long-standing customers. Our business expertise, coupled with the machine telematic data consolidated by Hiboo, will optimise the management of their activities. “

David CROCHU - Director of Bergerat Monnoyeur, Director of Bergerat RENT

"The construction industry is becoming increasingly aware of the wealth of data emitted by their equipment.

With the addition of Bergerat RENT and NGE, Hiboo has become the link between equipment hire companies and operators. We’re taking the next step in acceleratingthe digitisation of the construction industry. “

Clément BÉNARD - CEO and co-founder of Hiboo
